NurtureOne's Daycare Program is a play-based curriculum built on the fundamental of Belonging, Being, and Becoming that covers 6 key developmental areas based on Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority standards (ACECQA)
Physical
Our educators promote play-based learning experiences which encourage healthy lifestyles, including nutrition, personal hygiene, physical health which contribute to a child’s concentration and participation in play and learning. At NurtureOne we take pride in both of our indoor and outdoor spaces that provide a platform for children to participate in an extensive learning experiences. Our educators focus in assisting children to achieve their physical milestones through a range of fun activities and free play that your child will love.
Social
Emotional
At NurtureOne we understand that from birth children experience living and learning with others in a range of different social interactions within a community. For this reason, our educators endeavour to create learning environments in which children experience mutually enjoyable, caring and respectful relationships with people and the environment. Through these play-based learning experiences, we aim to equip children with a sense of belonging, self-confidence in interacting and communicating socially.
We believe that children’s readiness to persevere when faced with unfamiliar and challenging learning situations creates the opportunity for success and achievement. At NurtureOne, our educators are trained to attend to children’s emotional needs by providing warm, trusting relationships, predictable and safe environments. We also acknowledge and celebrate each child’s cultural and social identity, and respond sensitively to their emotional states. In this way, our educators build children’s confidence and resilience, providing them with the capacity to cope with day to day stress and challenges.
Cognitive
Our educators consistently provide supportive, active learning environments that assist children in developing dispositions such as curiosity, persistence and creativity which enables them to participate in and gain from learning. This process allows them to be effective learners who are able to transfer and adapt what they have learned from one context to another and to locate and use resources for learning.
Language
Our Daycare program recognises the importance of communication and language (including early literacy and numeracy) first and foremost as a part of their identities and cultures as well as a means to express ideas. We also expose children to different languages to encourage appreciation and respect of linguistic diversity. Our Daycare program introduces English and Chinese language in a fun and creative way to provide the best linguistic learning experiences for your children.
